As promised, we’ve recently released a free version of Power Widgets on WordPress.org plugins repository named Power Widgets Lite. The plugin has all the vital functionality and helps you create, control and manage custom sidebars from a single location as well as from any page or post. The main differences between the premium version and the free version is the ability to create patterns which is available only in the premium version, the importer. Another big difference is the dedicated support premium users get. We will however do our best to keep the support forum on wordpress.org maintained as it is our interest to continue to improve both versions. Naturally, the more advanced Power Widgets premium version will become (see below), we will add more features into the free Power Widgets Lite.

Works very well so far and looks to have saved so much time. I even bought another one of their widgets because I was so happy with this one. Thank you SuperPlugin.
We intend to move forward with version 1.6.9 for Power Widgets which will introduce a new user interface which will enhance functionality, workflow and speed up the process even more. As usual, our plans go beyond this version and we intend to add some key features to Power Widgets premium version in the coming months. Here’s a reminder of what it will look like: power widgets new ui As you can see, all screens are now accessible as tabs: pages, posts, categories, tags, page templates custom post types and patters. Custom types is another major improvement which we will introduce on version 1.6.9. Power Widgets will automatically identify and, have it available for work, any custom post type which will be present on a given website. We will elaborate more on 1.6.9 and our plans for future versions for Power Widgets on a separate post.
